WEEK 1 : Photoshop and Copyright

The lab 1's purpose was to give some time to students to play with the tools like Photoshop that they will need to complete their assignments like adding images and videos in their blogs or websites or presentations.

Picture edit :

I have chosen a random picture from the internet  and edited the  picture by adding filter in it. Our teacher told us to do this by ourselves, watching YouTube tutorials or using online resources, so that we can explore the available materials and learn how to utilize them. This way, he will have an idea of our knowledge level in completing these tasks. This was the main purpose of this assignment



Then I selected another picture and used the photoshop to edit the colour of the eyes of the person to green and this eye colour editing was very popular in the film named The Twilight.



Copyright :

As IT student we should be very careful about Copyright. We can't take anything from internet and use it. Our teacher Mr. Carl explained us very deeply about copyright. I will just give a simple explanation of copyright here.

Copyright is a legal idea that gives the person who creates something special, like a book or a song, the right to decide how others can use it. This includes making copies, sharing, performing, or making new things based on it. These rights usually last for a certain number of years. Copyright exists to reward creators for their work and encourage them to keep making new things. It also helps make sure that people can use and share creative works in a fair way.

In this case if you edit and modify someone's picture or material from the Internet without their concern, It is illegal by the law. Law differ from one country to other country .So, we have to be  very careful always when we are taking things from internet because you might sued in the court .

You should not steal someone ideas and use it.

Plagiarism is consider a big crime in any country.
