WEEK 2 : VR Driving Instructor
We were also told to team up in groups of four. So, in our crew, there were Mahid, Farhan, and me. Farhan, who was in the process of learning to drive, shared his struggles as a newbie on the road. He was pretty scared of accidents and all. That's when he threw out this awesome idea – what if we create a virtual driving thing? Like, it'd feel as if you're learning to drive in a real car. The best part? It could cut down on accidents for new drivers. They'd get the hang of driving through virtual reality (VR) and feel more at ease when hitting the actual roads. How cool is that?
To kick things off, we chatted about marketing strategies, even though we didn't actually have a product yet. It was more like a brainstorming session since our teacher wanted to tap into our creativity, ideas about technology, and our knack for advertising.
Then, we dug into the nitty-gritty of our tech concept—what cool stuff it could do for people and how much it might cost. After that, we bravely presented our brainchild to the teacher. He gave us feedback, pointing out what could be even cooler and what tweaks we could make. Plus, he threw in a bunch of tech and marketing wisdom. We learned a ton this week, getting a little taste of what our future gigs might look like if we dive into the tech and marketing world.
